SCNHRB c. 1 (was ENTRB) has accession no. 155303 (for all 5 v.); the autograph and some brief ms. notes of F. Stegmann; with stamps: Library, Division of Crustacea, carded 1922; Smithsonian Institution National Museum. Tome 1 has a ms. pencil sheet ([1] p.) with bibliographical citations laid in. The printed label of bookseller Oscar Schack (Leipzig) is mounted on the front free endpaper of t. 1

SCNHRB c. 1, t. 1 has an old half-leather binding with brown paste-paper boards; raised bands; gilt-tooled spine (re-backed); marbled endpapers, and red edges (t. 1, pars 1 and t. 1, pars 2 are bound together). Tome 2 has a modern blue buckram binding with a gilt-tooled spine ("Division of Crustacea" stamped at foot of spine), and red edges, with Townsend Book Bindery label on back paste-down endpaper. Tome 3 (pars 1 and 2) and t. 4 have old half-leather bindings with brown paste-paper boards; raised bands; gilt-tooled spines (t. 3, pars 2 and t. 4 are re-backed); marbled endpapers, and red edges.
